Icicle Series at Tees and Hartlepool Yacht Club - Week 6

The sixth week of the Tees and Hartlepool Yacht Club Icicle series greeted competitors with freezing fog and zero degrees air temperature. The breeze was perfect for the Jackson dock, with only one or two cyclonic areas catching the unwary. Duty officer, Dennis Young, kept all on their toes with another tight start line. This produced the usual fight for position, rewarding those who timed their run correctly, with a clear air start.

Series leader Dave Spensley had to work hard this week for his two wins to maintain his position at the top of the table.

This was the sixth of eight weekends of racing leading to Christmas with 9 from 16 races to count toward overall honours
