INTENSE TRAINING DAY FOR TEAM PRADA ON LUNA ROSSA ITA 45 AND ITA 48

Today has been a perfect training day for team Prada.

The two Luna Rossa yachts ITA 45 and ITA 48, with Francesco de Angelis and Rod Davis at the helm, left the dock at 10 am under a cloudy sky and light winds. Gradually the clouds cleared away and the wind from the South increased up to 15-18 knots.

The two crews were able to carry out over 10 practice starts and to complete 2 races of 8 nautical miles each. At the end of this session, a number of sails were tested, for a total of 6 hours of sailing.

Tomorrow race 3 of the America's Cup will be sailed. A Southerly sea breeze of 9-14 knots is expected tomorrow afternoon, with sunny sky.

A delegation of 16 flag wavers, drummers and trumpeters from Arezzo (Italy) arrived in Auckland today - accompanied by the Councillor for Cultural Affairs of Arezzo, Prof. Armando Cherici - to join the America's Cup celebrations and support team Prada.

The group will perform tomorrow morning at 11.10 local time on the America's Cup Village stage, opposite the operations base of team Prada.
