New Charting Powerhouse Designed for Fast Performance and Straightforward Navigation
Raymarine Inc., a leading manufacturer of electronic equipment for the recreational boating and light commercial marine markets, expands its line of chartplotters with the new RC435 chartplotter. Featuring a six-inch VGA 16 color display, the attractively priced RC435 is easy to view in any lighting condition.
“Our RC435 sets a new standard for compact color chartplotters. The industry’s brightest displays
coupled with the Navionics Gold Charts brings a new level of performance and value to six inch
displays”, says Terry Carlson, president of Raymarine.
With 12-channel WAAS/EGNOS GPS capability, boaters can expect accurate position and location
information. The RC435 serves up exceptional chart detail using the new Navionics Gold Chart
cartography. The Gold Charts give the user access to a wealth of information including depth
contours, spot soundings, tides, currents and sunrise/sunset tables. For navigation and route
planning, there is a simple user interface and enough memory to store 1,000 waypoints and 20 routes
with up to 50 waypoints per route in internal memory. Additionally, the Compact Flash card slot allows for storage of unlimited route, waypoint and track data. Other chartplotter features include a dedicated MOB function that easily provides position, range/bearing and elapsed time to an MOB
incident. The RC435 also has alarms for waypoint arrival, cross-track error, anchor drift and loss of position fix.
With its waterproof construction, the RC435 can be mounted externally, or it can also be flush
mounted in a console. Installation is easy to do with “plug and play” connectors that eliminate the
need to splice wires. The RC435 can be integrated with an autopilot or other electronics on board via an NMEA 0183 interface. Raymarine offers a two-year warranty on the RC435.
