Zhik’s PowerPads®, new for 2021 have been completely re-engineered.  These carbon fibre hiking pads are very lightweight, and provide excellent leg support plus flex with your movement in the boat.

Zhik have worked with specialist carbon brand Carbitex, to create these internal carbon pads that slot into the 3D, seamless, knitted outer compression sleeves. This creates a low profile, clutter-free hiker, reducing bulk and enabling  faster, free movement onboard and effective hiking in all sea conditions.

Made with AFX™ technology the carbon pads enable ‘asymmetric flexibility’ - they both mould with and move with  the sailors leg across the range of hiking movement.  

As well as holding each carbon hiking pad securely in place, the compression sleeves help to aid blood flow, muscle performance and recovery when hiking hard. Their high stretch, air-permeable knit makes them cooler to wear under a wetsuit or waterproofs.  Additional EVA foam pads can be added to customise the fit of the PowerPads to your boat’s side decks and create your optimium hiking position across sailing conditions.

Zhik Powerpads have been thoroughly tested with the Australian Olympic team and will be used at the Tokyo Olympics.
