Smallest Boat; Biggest Challenge - See it for yourself!

Although it’s part of the fun of the Boat Show to gasp with awe at the size and luxury of boats most of us will only ever own in our wildest dreams, visitors to this year’s London Boat Show are strongly advised to take a look at the other end of the spectrum. Intrepid sailor Tom McNally is exhibiting the “pocket-sized” boat in which he is to make a record-breaking attempt to cross the Atlantic, both ways, later this year. Built by Tom himself, “The Big-C” is an astonishingly diminutive 3 foot 10 inches long and really needs to be seen to be believed.
Tom is no stranger to ocean challenges having already achieved several world records for ocean crossings in tiny craft. Both Tom and “The Big-C” are to be found at Stand N18A where he will gladly discuss this and his previous adventures. During his latest attempt, Tom is hoping to raise funds and awareness for Sail 4 Cancer, a charity which aims to help improve the quality of life for people living with cancer.
Jeckells Sailmakers have provided the sails for “The Big-C” and are also supporting Sail 4 Cancer. For every Jeckells sail purchased during the Boat Show they have agreed to donate £10 to Sail 4 Cancer, so please also take time to visit their stand at N11E.
