5.5 Metre Alpen Cup at Circo Vela Torbole, Lake Garda, Italy

Fourteen 5.5m have competed between April 29 and May 1st in the Alpen Cup 2010 on beautiful Lake Garda in Torbole, Italy. The regatta hosted by Circo Vela Torbole traditionally marks the start of the 5.5m Class sailing season in Europe.

After 3 days of racing in the Italian Alps, well-known and ranked-1st Star sailor of the moment, Flavio Marazzi sailing with Stefan Haftka and Christoph Wilke wins the 2010 Alpen Cup with a total of 13 points after 8 races (1 discard).

In second place and finishing with 16 point, we have another Swiss sailor, Christoph Burger with his crew composed of Mathias Dalmann and Marcel Simon and in the third position goes to Finnish sailors Kenneth Thelen, Thomas Hallberg and Robert Nyberg totalizing 35 points.
