This year the Splash Class National Championships will be held for the 1st time at Christchurch Sailing Club on July 7th & 8th.

Taking place alongside the Finn Southern Area Championship, the Splash Nationals looks set to mark a revival for the class with a sea venue and at least 14 overseas entries anticipated.

With the 2012 Splash Worlds taking place in Nieuwpoort, Belgium, at the end of July, the UK Nationals provides an excellent opportunity for sea sailing and a number of Dutch sailors are planning to make the trip to England after Nieuwpoort Week before returning to Belgium for the Worlds.

Will 2011 National Champion, Arran Holman, return to defend his title against some talented Dutch sailors, or will a new UK Champion be crowned? Whatever the result, the 2012 Nationals is set to be the biggest the class has seen for years.
