As RS racing and training boats continue to build their enthusiastic following across the world, RS Sailing is establishing a new distribution network to offer great service and pricing to sailors and fleet customers in Australia and New Zealand.
Following the same successful distribution model established by RS in North America over recent years, the appointment of dealers in key sailing regions of Australasia is underway. Each dealer will work direct with RS Sailing in the UK and also co-operate as a group on building specific RS racing classes and providing the most efficient supply route for boats and spare parts to sailors, clubs and other fleet buyers.
Several of the new dealers have already been appointed and RS are happy to receive additional expressions of interest. An announcement regarding the new dealers will follow shortly. "We're excited about the enthusiasm we've found in some fantastic people in Australia and New Zealand" says Martin Wadhams, managing director of RS Sailing. "They think there is a real opportunity for our boats and they want to be involved to make it happen. It's always good to work with people like that!"
There is a lot going on for RS at present. The first RS100 World Championships is underway in Italy – the RS200 class is growing beyond its UK stronghold – the RS Feva and Tera go from strength to strength for young sailors and ever more National Federations, clubs and sailing schools are choosing RS training boats for their programmes to build sailing participation. Add the recent launch of the innovative entry level RS CAT16 (the first RS multihull) and you get a sense of the opportunities ahead.
You can see full details of the RS sailboat range at www.RSsailing.com and information about the new dealers in Australia and New Zealand will be posted soon on the site's World Dealer Finder.
