Following the success of the Laser Vago training weekends hosted in the north (Yorkshire Dales SC) and east (Hunts SC) of the UK, the Laser Vago Class Association is hoping to encourage south-coast Vago sailors to join in the fun.
Tudor Sailing Club in Langstone Harbour, Portsmouth are playing host to the event, with top Vago sailor and RYA Coach, Ed Deacon on hand to offer rigging and tuning advice, asymmetric and trapezing coaching and general race craft skills.
Whether a complete novice, or experienced racer, help and advice will be on hand to develop your skills and prepare you for the season ahead.
For those of you who have not sailed at a Class Association event in the past, we are a really friendly welcoming bunch, who happily share rigging, tuning and racing knowledge and don't tack things too seriously. So don't be shy.. come along and enjoy a great day on the water!
The Coaching Day is open to all Laser Vago sailors and although the coaching has been sponsored by the class association, the club are offering breakfast, lunch, hot drinks and afternoon tea and cake for just £8.
Breakfast and registration kicks off at 9:30am on Saturday 14th March 2015, with a program of shore based and water based activities, with plenty of breaks for hot drinks to stay warm.
If you are interested in coming along, or want to know more, please email Hannah Barnes, the class secretary & Rear Commodore of TSC on .
This event is the first of many throughout the season – for Vago sailors based in the north who would like to attend a training / coaching day – look out for details of the Northern event hosted by Yorkshire Dales SC, in May 2015.
