On 18th & 19th July, the Lymington Dinghy Regatta, now in its third year, welcomes locals and visitors in Fireflys, RS400s, RS Aeros, Blazes, D-Ones, Scows and all dinghies with PY under 1500.
Three races are scheduled each day in the Solent on two separate courses, followed by the legendary Lymington tea and doughnuts ashore. The regatta is run jointly by LTSC and RLYC. On Saturday night RLYC's in-house Spanish chef, Ana, will lay on piles of traditional Paella, jugs of Sangria, tubs of local ice cream and San Miguel, not to mention some cheesy Spanish tunes.
Early entry (by Wednesday 15th) gets you a discounted entry fee and the chance to win a bottle of Champagne. Last year's regatta nearly reached the 120 boat entry limit so enter online now (you can pay on arrival; refundable if the regatta is cancelled) at www.ltsc.co.uk.
