30 April - 2 May 2016
Rock Sailing Club is delighted to welcome Lark and Fireball sailors to the annual May Day Bank Holiday Open Meeting to be held from 30th April to 2nd May 2016.
The Club again offers visitors to this famous part of Cornwall the chance to sail on the spectacular waters of Padstow Bay and Camel Estuary.
The Club is situated about 5 miles to the west of Wadebridge and opposite the picturesque fishing port of Padstow. For those who have not visited before, Rock Sailing and Water-ski Club is a very family orientated club offering a warm welcome to sailors of all standards. The Clubhouse has a first floor clubroom with panoramic view over the Camel Estuary with a well-stocked bar and fabulous food.
Last year the Fireball racing attracted many of the big names in the class with the top five places going to the teams of Birrell/Brearley, Gillard/Anderton, Burge/Wagstaff, Wade/Hibbert and Slater/Slater respectively.
The strong Lark fleet produced close racing with 13 points separating the top five teams of Whitehouse/Haighton, Roome/Stevens, Hufton/Owens, Gray/Rhodes and Hall/Hall respectively.
The Club will again host the now infamous Saturday night supper evening which gives the chance for all to show their non-sailing 'regatta' skills... hic!
The Club looks forward to welcoming you later this month.
