Following the fantastic European Championships at Travemunder Woche, Germany for the RS400s and at Circolo vela Torbole, Lake Garda for the RS700/RS800s, we are now getting ready to get stuck into the next large event for the fleets – the Volvo Noble Marine Nationals, hosted by Hayling Island SC from 24-28 August.

We have 90 boats currently entered, and are expecting many more to come and join in the fun, on- and off-the-water, watch out for footage from our videographers and photographers.

As well as the fantastic racing we can always expect from Hayling Island SC, we have a full on party programme: Wednesday is Buddy drinks where you meet your buddy and the stronger sailors start to help those newer to the boat. Thursday is a beach themed party with DJ, Friday night is Games (& curry) night, then the amazing Steel Strum will make the championship party swing on Saturday night.

In the RS800 fleet there is a repeat of popular crew fun race, and new for 2016 include the free boat set-up Q&A session and the grandstand finish extra race.

As part of their sponsorship, seven lucky sailors have won the use of a beautiful Volvo to use at the event. RS400 sailors Caroline Whitehouse, Rob Martin and Jon Heissig will be enjoying the luxury; Ian Nolan and Pete Purkiss, RS700 sailors, and RS800 competitors Toby Wincer and David Williams will also be arriving relaxed and ready to race.

Entry is still open, including for those who can only make the weekend. On-line entry (and loads of information) at:

Come and join in the fun!
