Antigua Sailing Week is full of characters, and none come much bigger than Eddie English and Harold Cudmore, two Irish sailors, known the world over, for their sailing skills, legendary expertise, and witty bon-ami.
Eddie and Harold are tactician and navigator respectively on Richard Matthew's JV42 Power of Love. Both have been coming to Antigua for decades, and often sail with Richard, a pillar of the sailing community. Eddie and Harold were enjoying a Perfect Storm, made from 5 year Old English Harbour Rum and Fever-Tree Ginger Beer at the daily prize giving held at the Antigua Yacht Club.
"It's an old school classic, and as members of the Royal Cork Yacht Club, the oldest in the world, it seems quite right, and after all we are in Antigua, where better to drink a rum and delicious ginger beer." commented Eddie English.
