With the Junior Offshore Group 2018 season well underway, it's time to start thinking about The Portal Company JOG Week. A four yearly event, this year based out of Dartmouth and in association with the Royal Dart Yacht Club, JOG Week traditionally offers a mix of long and short races and some great shore side events.

The whole thing starts on Saturday 22nd July with two (separate) feeder races from Cowes or Dartmouth to Portland, continuing the week with passage races from Portland to Dartmouth, Dartmouth to Plymouth and Plymouth to Dartmouth, at least one of which will - weather permitting - be via Eddystone. These will be interspersed with a some shorter inshore races to hone up those cornering and kite packing skills.

Accompanied by social events each evening, including live bands, special 'JOG' beer from Salcombe Brewery, paddle board racing (for those who haven't had enough competition), BBQ's, the chance to attend an evening reception at the Britannia Royal Naval College and the opportunity to meet up with fellow crews in all destinations, JOG Week 2018 certainly promises to be memorable. It culminates with a prizegiving on the afternoon of Friday 27th July.

Entry includes free berthing in Portland and Plymouth and supported events through the week courtesy of The Portal Company, Salcombe Brewery, Dean and Reddyhoff, Plymouth Yacht Haven and Dartmouth Chandlery.

Early Bird entries are now open, with all the information you need to be found here.

Next JOG Race: Dielette, via Guernsey, Friday 25 May, first start 19:30

Entry Forms, full race programme and crew available/boats looking for crew information all now available online at www.jog.org.uk.
