The 2019 South Shore Yacht Club Queen's Cup® Week is just around the corner. Time to get your entry in before things get busy with spring boat prep and the sail race season.
This year is the 81st running for one of the oldest trophies in yacht racing. It was originally awarded to the sloop Sylvie from New York in the Royal Yacht Squadron Regatta of Cowes, England in 1853... become part of a rich history... enter today.
On-line entry is open for the 2019 Queen's Cup Race and the entries are coming in fast. The entry form, NoR and other race documents can be found on our website under the Queen's Cup tab.
The race is open to all boats with a 2019 LMPHRF handicap certificate or a valid ORR certificate or class measurement certificate. We welcome any one-design entries, multi-hulls, shorthanded sailors and a cruising fleet.
Plans are under way to make the 2019 Queen's Cup Race a success ashore and afloat. We have a Caribbean night party planned for Wednesday June 26 and the traditional Queens' Cup blast on Thursday June 27 with great food and entertainment both nights. This year's band is Caught In The Act. These guys will get the place rockin' from the first song and keep the party on its feet right to the end of the last set.
The 2019 Queen's Cup Race will start on Friday afternoon June 28. The finish is in St Joseph, Michigan and hosted by the St. Joseph River Yacht Club. SJRYC is looking forward to Queens' Cup boats, their crews and families filling their harbor and enjoying the weekend. It should be a fun-packed week on both sides of the lake.
Looking forward to seeing you at the 2019 SSYC Queen's Cup.
