The RS Summer Regatta, incorporating the RS400 Summer Championship and RS500 Noble Marine UK National Championship to be held on 26th-27th June, will open for pre-entry registration at 09.00 on Sunday 14th February.

This will be the flagship multiclass RS Class Association event of 2021, hosted by Royal Torbay Yacht Club, the RYA's Club of the Year 2019.

Both the club and the Class Association are confident that this event, in the fantastic sailing waters of Torbay, will go ahead and deliver the efficient, fun, competitive racing that we all enjoy so much and have missed in 2020 and demand for places is expected to be high, think the Glastonbury Festival of Sailing!

The RS Class Association will open a provisional entry list AT 09.00 on Sunday 14th February, with entry to be confirmed once the NoR is published. No payment will be required until that time. Overall and individual fleet numbers will be limited due to the room on the pier (more so than usual because extra distancing may be required between boats). Places will be given on a first come, first served basis. Sailors ae being urged to get their names on the list early to secure a place.

Initial fleet allocations are:

  • RS100, RS300, RS500, RS600, RS700 - 10 boats each
  • RS200, RS400, RS800 - 20 boats each
Class Secretary Sally Campbell said "If the limit for your fleet is reached please DO PUT TOUR NAME ON THE WAITING LIST - if we see a big demand from individual fleets and/or overall we will see what we can do to accommodate extra boats (e.g. re-allocating from any fleets which do not reach their limit, reviewing space requirements, potentially having some fleets sail from neighbouring clubs etc). WE CAN'T CATER FOR A DEMAND WE DON'T KNOW ABOUT!"
