The Setley Cup model yachts at Setley Pond near Lymington was once again hotly contested.
The conditions were near perfect with a light to moderate Easterly wind. Sadly there were fewer Monohulls than usual with only 9 boats entering for the Setley Cup but with a healthy 19 boats entering the Multihull for the Seahorse Trophy.
Five races were completed with four to count, the monohulls were dominated by “Planet” sailed by Harry Waddington with four first places followed by Arran Murton with a first and 3 second places and third place going to Sam Richards.
The Multihulls had some much stiffer racing with four different race winners, culminating in “Carbon Black Cat” sailed by Hector Hurst with 2 first places winning with 8 points from Simon Mason 13 pts and Sarah Perkins with 15 pts.
Thanks once again to all volunteer recorders, finishers and the rescue boat oarsman Steve Smith.
