The Musto Skiff Class Association is pleased to confirm that Noble Marine Insurance will continue their longstanding sponsorship of the GBR class for their 2022 season.

As part of the 2022 sponsorship, the UK-based boat insurance specialist will be the Event Title Sponsor for the UK National Championship event in Eastbourne, as well as providing funds towards a dedicated training program for GBR class members.

GBR Musto Skiff Class Association chairman, Ben Schooling, said: "Our 2022 Season is looking really strong with 13 events confirmed so far across the Northern and Southern circuits, including our UK Nationals at Eastbourne in early September. As it stands, we are also working on getting a full training program in place for different regions across the UK. Training is always welcomed by existing members who want to improve boat handling, but it also enables new class members to get to grips with the boat and meet other sailors."

In response to demand and feedback from class members, the Musto Skiff class recently welcomed two new training co-ordinators to their GBR committee team. The training co-ordinators will be based in the North and South regions to arrange training events across the UK from the South Coast of England to the North of Scotland.

Commenting on the continued sponsorship for 2022, Joanne Haynes of Noble Marine Insurance, said: "Being a sponsor of the Musto Skiff class has always shown us that this isn't just a class to sponsor; it's a community. The Musto Skiff class has been really adaptive to the challenges that they've faced over the last couple of years. That's why Noble Marine is really happy to sponsor Musto Skiff Class Association again this year."

The first UK training event for the Musto Skiff class has been confirmed for 26 to 27 March at Grafham Water Sailing Club. The training is open to all Musto Skiff class members, from newcomers to seasoned sailors, and the Noble Marine Insurance sponsorships will go towards coaching with an experienced Musto Skiff sailor to provide a structured and informative session.

Additional dates for the UK training program will be announced in the coming weeks, with each event set to include on the water training with a qualified coach, followed by a debrief session onshore.

Ben Schooling added: "Noble Marine's sponsorship support goes a long way to ensure that our annual training events can happen in the UK. We really value their continued support, and we are looking forward to getting the UK season under way later this month."
