Racing for IRC, Cruiser Classes, J/24s and Sportsboats on the fine sailing waters of Torbay on the English Riviera. Competitors can expect a fun and competitive racing weekend which includes the Torbay Admirals Cup team racing.
Three days of racing will see the IRC fleet competing for the prestigeous Addison Gold Cup. There will be prize-giving for all classes after two days of racing in addition to an overall prize-giving after racing on Monday 22nd.
The club are once again looks forward to the welcoming sailors from around the country to this popular regatta, one of the oldest such events in the country. Regatta time has been a highlight of the summer season in Torquay for over 200 years and was the first yachting regatta in the country to be granted royal patronage.
Free berthing is included in the entry fees and from the sheltered harbour there is quick and easy access to the race areas. The town offers an enviable range of accommodation, restaurants, bars, and car parks all within walking distance of the club and harbour.
Torbay offers a spectacular venue, and The English Riviera is just a great place to be during August. Competitors and their families can be sure of a very warm welcome and will enjoy a friendly atmosphere, cordial hospitality and great shoreside entertainment featuring the traditional regatta Commodore's welcome night, themed party night and prize-giving.
This year and at the same venue the club will be hosting two Dinghy Regattas. The English Riviera Dinghy Regatta June 11th -12th and the Torbay Dinghy Regatta October 8th - 9th.
