2022 Allen OK National Championship at Herne Bay Sailing Club - Day 2

by Karen Robertson 16 Jul 2022 06:58 BST 14-17 July 2022

The forecast of light winds turned out to be entirely right for the Allen Sailing OK National Championship with the Race Team putting up the postponement flag at 11am and eventually going out on the water just after 2pm with the hope that the forecast would hold and wind would appear around 3pm.

Sadly this was not to be the case and the fleet amused themselves with sun bathing, boat bimbling, sea swimming and examination of Jim Hunt's new boat.

The class held their AGM with discussions taking place on a wide range of issues including the 2023 OK World Championships which will be held at Lyme Regis. Following the AGM the fleet sat down to a delicious dinner expertly prepared and served by the members of Herne Bay Sailing Club.

The fleet looks forward to better conditions for day 3.
