What a beautiful place to work
Meet senior sailing instructor James Watts in his new Cumbrian 'office.' Twenty-year-old James started work last month as the new Sail Training Officer at Ullswater Yacht Club's Sailing School and his workplace is the "loveliest of lakes".
James has been sailing for around ten years and is a passionate sailor and windsurfer. He grew up in Hull and moved to Cumbria to start his new job in June, delighted by the warm welcome from club members and thrilled to be working in such a beautiful location. He is responsible for the day-to-day running of Ullswater Sailing School which is an RYA Training Centre and has arrived just in time for the busy summer season.
Ullswater Sailing School offers a range of courses and taster sessions suitable for all ages and level of ability, run from Ullswater Yacht Club with its excellent facilities and scenic waterside frontage. The family-friendly club is on the 'quiet' North-east shore of the lake between Pooley Bridge and Howtown.
James said: "Why not combine a trip to the Lake District with a few sailing lessons or brush up on skills which might be a little rusty. Ullswater Yacht Club offers a range of courses from absolute beginners to adults who already know the basics. Or why not try a taster session for the whole family?"

Alfred Wainwright described Ullswater as "that loveliest of lakes curving gracefully into the far distance".
