For the first time an Icon secured the Presidents Trophy at Chase Sailing Club, held on 3rd September 2022.

A change of format was presented for this year's Presidents Trophy, with sprint racing proving to be a real success, even if it did get the race team a little busy at times, with twenty-seven boats of all shapes, sizes and abilities out on the water (everything from a Topper to an Osprey!).

A great steady breeze gave an afternoon of seven nip-and-tuck races, with grandstand viewing for those on the shore and not a moment missed.

Eventually it was the Icon of James Vyse & Huw Hopkins who came out on top with a convincing win, followed by Richard Instone in his Solo and the GP14 of Neil Davies & Michelle Evans in 3rd.

Sprint racing proved to be a real hit, so keep an eye out on the calendar for more to come!
