Marine-Products-Direct (Marine Components International Ltd) is set to unveil an impressive range of innovative, ground-breaking technology at the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show, Farnborough International - 25 - 26 February 2023.
Poole-based MCI, which supplies a wide range of high-end marine products to leading dinghy builders, yacht builders, chandlers and shipyards worldwide, will be showcasing Calypso Anemometer Wind Sensors to visitors at the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show on stand J18.
Calypso is a range of ultra-light and compact solid state wind speed and direction sensors, including a portable solar-powered wireless wind sensor, battery powered mini wireless wind sensor and a highly accurate and durable wired anemometer.
All solid-state Calypso wind speed and direction anemometers have no moving parts so unlike traditional cup and vane sensors with they will not deteriorate over time.
The Calypso wind speed and direction sensors allow data to be viewed by Bluetooth to your smart device (phone or tablet), a wide range of free to market Apps are available in IOS or Android. In addition, you can connect the Calypso sensors to the boats NMEA network, allowing data to be seen directly on your boats chartplotter or display.
Marine-Products-Direct will also be showcasing the TEMO 450 electric outboard on stand J18, which was launched in 2021 as the lightest outboard motor in the world, the TEMO 450 is both innovative and eco-friendly as well as being portable, silent and powerful.
Designed for dinghies, tenders and small boats, the portable system includes a 450W motor, 220V charger, rowlock fitting kit and security device. It weighs just 4.9kg, has a propulsive power of 200W and produces 12kg of maximum thrust from its motor.
