It's 157 days (22.43 weeks / 3768.0 hours / and 5.61 months) to Craftinsure Bass week, held from 5th to 13th August on one of Cumbria's largest bodies of water, Bassenthwaite Lake.

We are delighted to once again announce Craftinsure as Bass Weeks title sponsor. We caught up with Rod, Craftinsure's Underwriting Manager to ask why Craftinsure was keen to once again be part of the North's best family regatta week. "Craftinsure is delighted to be sponsoring Bass Week again this year which has to be one of the best annual events on the UK sailing calendar. As a truly inclusive sailing week, with a mix of boat classes and families from all over the country having a great time in a stunning location what could be better!"

From club sailors to world champions, for decades Bass Week has attracted visitors from all over the country, renowned for competitive racing on the water, a fantastic social programme for all the family, stunning scenery of the fells and the best view of Skiddaw mountain. Camping on site makes inclusive entry exceptional value, with 9 days sailing and 9 nights camping only £223 in total, for two people sailing a double hander, and £171 for under 23s who take advantage of the discount.

The regatta will see over 300 racers from up and down the country visit the area for the 9 day regatta. Throughout the week there will be multiple events for all the family, including 9 days of competitive racing, children's parties, nightly varied entertainment incorporating live music, DJ enterprise dance-offs, a quiz night and the all-important Commodores reception.

Entry opens on April 1st via the Craftinsure Bass Week website www.bassweek.org.uk. We are expecting a bumper number of entries and encourage those with caravans and motorhomes to enter on April 1st. Significant discounts on entry fees are available before June 4th 2023.
