We are expecting a busy but exciting Spring at Bassenthwaite Sailing Club with several open meetings scheduled, both of which you can now enter!

The Catapult open meeting and Mirror Northern Championship kick off our 2023 open meeting calendar in just two week's time, with racing over three days on the first May Bank Holiday.

Racing is always competitive in the Bass Mirror Fleet and we welcome visitors and local hot shots. Inland and Northern Champions Phil and Oliver Smith were first to enter! The event is sponsored by Ginger Boats, who will be launching three new epoxy Mirrors at the event! Discounted entry closes on the 16th April.

Just two weeks later (13/14 May) we welcome the combined Flying Fifteen and GP14 open meeting, once again sponsored by Impact Marine. There is a resurgence of activity in the Bassenthwaite Flying Fifteen fleet, with a few of the 'youngsters' reaching maturity and purchasing boats over the winter break. Discounted entry closes on the 30th April.

Visitors are invited to camp in our extensive grounds and enjoy views of Skiddaw and the surrounding Northern Lake District. Sandwiches, snacks and drinks will be available each day from the Club galley and the bar will be open after sailing, serving the usual cold frothy refreshments. Full details including NOR and SSI available now.
