The Musto Skiff Class Association is pleased to confirm that Noble Marine Insurance will continue their longstanding sponsorship of the GBR class for their 2023 season. The sponsorship will see the UK-based boat insurance specialist provide funds towards a dedicated training program for GBR class members, as well as being the Event Title Sponsor for the 2023 Musto Skiff UK National Championships at Restronguet Sailing Club later this season.

Commenting on the renewed sponsorship, Bill Maughan, GBR Musto Skiff Class Chairman said: “We’re delighted Noble Marine are continuing their support for our class through 2023. With 13 scheduled circuit events for both the Northern and Scottish and Southern fleets, including our annual National Championships at Restronguet, Falmouth in late September, it should prove to be another excellent year for the Musto Skiff class. This sponsorship will help to support our fleet newcomers climb the learning curve and confidently compete in our national circuit.”

The first dedicated class training session is already in the GBR calendar, and will take place on Friday, 12th May, ahead of the Weymouth Open at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) this weekend. The upcoming ‘Noble Marine Coaching’ session is for Musto Skiff class members of all abilities and will be run by sailing coach, Adam Bowers.

Additional dates for the UK training and coaching program will be announced over the coming months, with each session set to include on the water training with a qualified coach, followed by a debrief session onshore. As a sponsored class association, Noble Marine is also offering a 10% Class Association discount for all members insuring their boat during 2023.

Commenting on the continued sponsorship for 2023, Joanne Haynes of Noble Marine Insurance, said: “Noble Marine is proud to be a sponsor for the Musto Skiff Class Association, which is a highly active and vibrant community of sailors. Class events are very well supported in the UK and on the international scene and the Class is proactive in supporting sailors to advance their skills and involvement in class events. We are keen to maintain and foster our association with the Must Skiff class and community.”

The Noble Marine 2023 Musto Skiff UK National Championships will be held at Restronguet Sailing Club over 21 – 24 September. Race documents and entry will be available closer to the event date, with more information to be made available on the Restronguet Sailing Club event page here: www.restronguetsc.org/visitors/294-musto-skiff-nationals-2023
