by Lucy Jameson 27 Jul 2023 15:38 BST 20-28 July 2023

The first day of the final series at the Magic Marine RS Feva World Championships delivered champagne sailing, marking the perfect start to the Final Series.

As the Magic Marine RS Feva World Championships progress, GBR's Ben Greenhalgh and Tom Sinfield have maintained their dominant position, firmly atop the leaderboard with an impressive set of results. However, the competition remains fierce, with local talents ITA's Giuseppe Bicocchi and Gemma Giovannelli hot on their heels in 2nd place, and another strong GBR team, Jac Bailey and Ben Sinfield, closely following in 3rd.

GBR's Ben Greenhalgh and Tom Sinfield continue to impress with their exceptional sailing skills and consistent performances. Their ability to handle various conditions and make strategic decisions has solidified their position as front-runners for the RS Feva World Championship title.

Representing the host club, ITA's Giuseppe Bicocchi and Gemma Giovannelli have displayed great prowess and local knowledge, putting them in a strong position to challenge the leaders. Their determination to secure victory on home waters adds an exciting element to the championship.

Another GBR team, Jac Bailey and Ben Sinfield, continues to show consistency and determination, solidifying their place in the top ranks. Their competitive spirit makes them formidable contenders as the competition intensifies.

In the Silver fleet, NED's Milou Van Den Top and Lieve Wensing and GBR's Emilia Ripley and Anna Elms are engaged in a closely fought battle, separated by just 3 points. With both teams carrying a big discard, the margin for error is slim, setting the stage for thrilling races in this division. Meanwhile, ITA's Bruno Iacomelli and Emilia Basile secure a commendable third place.

In the Bronze fleet, the competition is just as intense, with LTU Jonas Šepus and Vilius Vancingeris leading the charge. GBR's George Curtis and Benji Bryden are putting up a strong challenge in 2nd place, while CZE's Tereza Ptácková and Tobiáš Stríž are not far behind in 3rd. The Bronze fleet showcases the talent and dedication of emerging sailors, making it an exciting division to watch.

With more races ahead, the championship promises to deliver exciting and closely contested moments, showcasing the best young sailing talent from around the world.
