The fourth annual Australia Fiji Rendezvous brought together 18 Australian marine industry representatives to Port Denarau Marina from 22 to 24 August, creating a dynamic gathering of industry expertise.

With a goal of bringing together marine industry representatives from across the Pacific, the Australia Fiji Rendezvous offers an opportunity to strengthen connections between the international superyacht community to foster and develop long-term relationships that will be mutually beneficial for everyone involved.

Success in Sydney: The Sydney International Boat Show wrapped up successfully on 4 August. Over the four days, the Show featured 185 exhibitors, 618 boats, attracting almost 42,000 attendees. Lagoon had an outstanding presence at the show with the display of the popular Lagoon 46 sailing yacht and the mighty SEVENTY 8 motor yacht, organized by Australian dealer TMG Yachts.

Queensland expansion for Selene Yachts: The Selene Yachts Australia team celebrated the official opening of their premises at The Boat Works, with a celebration for owners, friends, family, industry colleagues and connoisseurs of the luxurious explorer brand. At the 23 August event, two Selene Classic Explorer models were on display - the Selene 66 and Selene 49 - with the Selene 66 elevated and illuminated on the hardstand in front of their offices in the latest boutique building on-site, known as "The Wharf". General Manager, Darryl Harkness welcomed guests and introduced Directors, Terry Goldacre and Ben Appo, both of whom have a passion for boating and a long history with the Selene brand.

Also in Queensland, Maritimo has welcomed a new factory direct sales consultant to its network, Josh Nash (Director at Nash Marine Sales) in picturesque Pittwater. Located at Princes Street Marina, Newport, Josh established his business at the start of 2024, building on a decade of experience in boat sales, and prior to that, working in real estate in Sydney and hospitality in Whistler, Canada. "It's wonderful to share the boating experience with customers and see them enjoy quality time with their families and friends," Josh states.

The Marina Industries Association (MIA) is pleased to announce that entries are now open for the 2025 Nautilus Marine Insurance Marina of the Year Awards. This biennial event celebrates excellence and leadership in the marina industry and continues to set new benchmarks for marinas and the facilities and services they offer.

Overseas, Princess Yachts Limited, the UK's largest luxury yacht builder, are delighted to announce the appointment of Sunazure NextWave Yachting as their authorised distributor for the Hong Kong region. The new distributor, who will trade as Princess Yachts Hong Kong, will take full responsibility for the sales and service of the brand in the region from 1 September, when the current distributor agreement with Princess Yachts Greater China comes to a natural end.

Stay calm,
