SINGLE-HANDED,
NON-STOP,
NO ASSISTANCE,
ONE LAP OF THE PLANET.

In My Element by Pip Hare: a gripping and inspiring account of one of the World's toughest races, through the eyes of an extraordinary woman.

'Pip is one of the most remarkable sports people, and adventurers, I have had the privilege to interview.'
Matt Dickinson, The Times

Launching this October is In My Element, a gripping and inspiring account of one of the world's toughest races through the eyes of an extraordinary woman, and how she (and all of us) can use the lessons she learned to live a life of authenticity and success.

This is a story about the highs and the lows involved in setting yourself a challenge, where you have to learn new and difficult skills, stretch yourself to grow, and push yourself to the limit to get what you want, even when doors slam in your face. But above all, it's about being in your element - finding that occupation or endeavour that makes your heart sing, and the power of authenticity in a world where you are told you don't belong. Pip's account of the Vendée Globe race - which only ten women on the planet have ever finished - includes enduring life lessons and strategies that can be applied to any challenging situation. It will appeal to all those looking for inspiration in whatever sphere they find a pull towards, and to fans of endurance and sailing stories.

About the author: Pip Hare is an extraordinary woman. She is one of the world's top solo sailors and a world record holder in a traditionally male sport. She now runs an international racing team and has a growing audience gripped by her feats of bravery and overcoming hardship. In late 2024 she will again be attempting the terrifying non-stop, round-the-world solo yacht race The Vendée Globe - possibly the hardest single-handed feat of endurance ever created.

In My Element launches on 10th October and can be bought here and at all good bookshops.
