Vendée Globe Monday Morning Update - Who will claim the Cape Horn record?

by Mark Jardine 23 Dec 2024 09:21 GMT 23 December 2024

Yoann Richomme on Paprec Arkéa and Charlie Dalin on MACIF Santé Prévoyance are set to round the legendary Cape Horn at around 2300 UTC today, but it is far from clear as to which of them will get their first.

We bring you a short update from Conrad Colman, and then a great chat with James Harayda of Gentoo Sailing Team, who just missed out on competing in this edition of the Vendée Globe.

As always, we bring you the latest tracking, leaderboard and PredictWind routing options for Richomme.

Additionally, we bring you updates from Clarisse Cremer on coming to terms with the weather she's been thrown and Pip Hare on her slow boat to Melbourne, Australia.
