Vendée Globe Monday 30th December Update - Is Seb Simon back in the game? Plus Pip Hare interview!

by Mark Jardine 30 Dec 2024 08:48 GMT 30 December 2024

While leader Yoann Richomme on PAPREC ARKÉA and Charlie Dalin on MACIF Santé Prévoyance are separated by just six miles in the Vendée Globe, it's Sébastien Simon on Groupe Dubreuil who is on the charge and closing the gap.

Things couldn't be tighter between fifth and ninth, and we bring you updates from Boris Herrmann, Jérémie Beyou and Thomas Ruyant, who is visited by a pod of dolphins.

We then discuss the latest tracker, leaderboard and PredictWind routing options for Yoann Richomme, followed by a look at the storms building around Cape Horn.

We conclude with an extended Pip Hare interview in Melbourne.
