Vendée Globe Friday 10th January Update - Can Yoann Richomme catch Charlie Dalin?

by Mark Jardine 10 Jan 09:30 GMT 10 January 2025

Yoann Richomme on PAPREC ARKÉA continues to push Charlie Dalin on MACIF Santé Prévoyance as the Vendée Globe leaders close in on Les Sables d'Olonne, and we look at whether there could be an opportunity for Richomee to overtake his friend and rival.

We hear from Conrad Colman and Sam Davies, and also chat with Paul Knox-Johnston, nephew of Sir Robin Knox-Johnston who famously won the Golden Globe Race in 1968-69 in 312 days, and how different the boats and technology are now.

We then discuss the latest tracker, leaderboard and PredictWind routing options for Dalin into the finish.

We conclude with an interview with Alan Roura by Dee Caffari.
