Marine tech company Savvy Navvy appoints Chief Product Officer

by Savvy Navvy 20 Mar 08:00 GMT

Marine technology company Savvy Navvy has promoted Misha Vysokovskiy to its Chief Product Officer (CPO) as the boating navigation app continues to scale up its growth and elevate its hardware integration solutions.

Misha Vysokovskiy joined Savvy Navvy just under three years ago as a Head of Product, having spent a decade in geoservices at Yandex. Misha moved to London in 2022 via a UK Global Talent track after having built up Yandex Navi to a leading navigation product with millions of monthly active users in different countries across the globe.

"The boater experience is a core foundation of Savvy Navvy, and since bringing on Misha nearly three years ago he has led a wide range of product developments benefiting our users across the globe. From launching enhanced features such as navigation mode, Over the Horizon AIS (OHA), smart routing upgrades - Misha has supported a rapid development of features in Savvy Navvy, bringing technology and state-of-the-art user experience to boaters and on-water users around the world. As we continue our mission to make boating simpler for everyone, Misha's appointment to CPO and our executive team signals the focus ahead of our ambitious plans to grow 'Savvy Integrated' and to continue us to scale," says Jelte Liebrand, CEO and Founder of Savvy Navvy.

Vysokovskiy joined Savvy Navvy to combine his two passions of navigation and boating. He has spent nearly seven years on the water and founded the first and only boat-sharing club in Russia. With a dream to bring together his love and experience of mapping, sailing and user-centric design, he today oversees Savvy Navvy's growing development team.

"I'm thrilled with the promotion to Chief Product Officer at Savvy Navvy. Launching 'Savvy Navvy Integrated' last year, we are creating much-needed seamless navigation solutions for marine manufacturers and suppliers worldwide, simplifying and elevating the boating experience. Recent partnerships with Avikus and RAD Propulsion are only the beginning. We are offering intuitive charts and essential navigation solutions, whether through multifunction displays, engines, or other integrated systems. Our focus on user-experience and incorporating user feedback at the centre of product continues to enable us to create the best experience for boaters across the globe," says Misha Vysokovskiy, Chief Product Officer at Savvy Navvy.

Savvy Navvy, often referred to as 'Google maps for boats', won a Neptune Award at the Marine Marketers of America (MMA) ceremony at Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show last month for its innovative retailer programme.

Offering a revolutionary, easy-to-use app that brings everything leisure boaters need for a seamless boating experience - Savvy Navvy solves vital navigation issues for boaters, kayakers, paddleboarders and jet-skiers. Unlike any other boating navigation solution, Savvy Navvy provides smart routing—giving users the optimal route and dynamic ETAs based on real-time data: departure time, chart information, weather conditions, tide, boat specifications and local regulations. Points of interest, including marina information, marine services and local businesses are also shown in the app helping users plan their journeys both online and offline.
