With the City of Melbourne as background, Port Phillip, with its infamous short and one metre choppy conditions put out the challenge to six of the best (Tumlarens that is).

No stepping back was the word across the fleet.

Hosted by the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron the world was again given the opportunity to see why the Knud Reimers designed Tumlaren has survived and thrived through their 88 years of whatever Port Phillips could through at them.

The outcome of both day one races saw the long time champion, Yvonne, continue her progress through the record books of the Tumlaren Victoria State Titles. Both One Design and performance honours went to here. A close run thing fir Yvonne as Tumlarens Dingo and Skipjack took minor placing with seven corrected time seconds separated each Tumlaren.

Thanks to Mark Chew and his the SWS website team for the day one photo gallery.

Day two of the titles will see similar on water conditions.
