Vendée Globe Saturday 11th January Update - Dalin on the Home Straight

by Mark Jardine 11 Jan 07:53 GMT 11 January 2025

With Yoann Richomme on PAPREC ARKÉA having lost use of his J0 headsail, Charlie Dalin on MACIF Santé Prévoyance can almost touch the Vendée Globe trophy as he closes in on Les Sables d'Olonne.

We hear from Boris Herrmann, who has also had trouble with his headsails and had to climb the mast again. We then discuss the latest tracker, leaderboard and PredictWind routing options for Dalin into the finish and Jean Le Cam as he makes his way up the South Atlantic at the head of a big pack of yachts.

We conclude with updates from Kojiro Shiraishi and Oliver Heer.
