Devoti Sailing, who have made their name building the Olympic class Finn, will be launching the two handed Devoti Icon at the RYA Dinghy Show, Alexandra Palace, London, the 2nd and 3rd March.
Devoti's beautifully finished Finns have won every medal at every Olympic Finn regatta since 1996, including Gold, Silver and Bronze at the 2012 London Olympics. They have now applied this expertise to the Icon.
Originally designed and developed by Cirrus Raceboats, designers of the Blaze and the Halo, the Icon production has now been moved to the modern and well equipped Devoti factory in Poland. Roman Teply, Managing Director of Devoti sailing, said "We are delighted to be building this exciting and innovative class, the Icon will appeal to male and female helms and crews of all ages."
Fast, modern and light weight, the Icon is a simple hiking boat, with just two sails. Exciting yet forgiving, the Icon will appeal to helms and crews of a wide range of abilities. Equally suited to restricted and open waters, the Icon is already building a following in the UK.
See the new Devoti Icon on Stand number G20 in the West Hall at Alexandra Palace, Saturday and Sunday the 2nd and 3rd March; we will be delighted to tell you more.
