Suntouched Sailboats are pleased to be sponsoring a number of Devoti D-Zero training events in the coming months. They recognise that, with the class being so new, most new owners may benefit from help in boat setup and boat handling as well as getting maximum performance from their D-Zero.
The first of these training events will be held at Grafham Water Sailing Club on 29th November 2014, with a day's racing to follow on 30th November 2014. Grafham is the first sailing club in the UK to grant class status for the D-Zero.
The even better news is that Dan Holman will be running the training at Grafham. Dan designed the one-off concept boat called the Punk from which the production D-Zero was developed. Having sailed the Punk for several years and the D-Zero more recently, Dan's experience and knowledge will be invaluable to those D-Zero sailors who want to get the best out of their boats.
Although Suntouched will cover the costs associated with training there will be a small fee of £26 (£13 for each day) for visitors' use of the club. Great savings can be made by taking out winter membership of Grafham Water Sailing Club (£65) which runs from that weekend to the end of March. Winter members are entitled to participate in the event free of charge and can also save a further £13 (total saving of up to £39) from the entry fee for the Grafham Grand Prix on 28th December.
