New for 2019, the RS200 Class Association are excited to be integrating an RS200 Big Beach Clean at Beacon Cove as part of the Super Social Schedule!

Following the recent devastating news of plastic polluting our seas, RS200 sailors have decided to play their part in tackling this problem. Not only are sailors being encouraged to ditch single-use plastic and opt for more sustainable options; the RS200 Social Team have organised an RS200 Big Beach Clean at Beacon Cove and the surrounding harbour to give back to the local area and help keep our playground free from plastic pollutants.

Happening from 1600-1715 on Sunday 4th August, we are encouraging all RS200 Sailors and Supporters to come down and rid the area of any litter we may find whilst keeping our playground, the sea, free of single-use plastic!

From 4th - 9th August, over two hundred RS200 Sailors are descending on Royal Torbay Yacht Club for the RS200 National Championships. The RS200 is one of the biggest and most competitive dinghy sailing National Championships in the UK with sailors from as far as Australia coming to join in on the action!

With the 100-boat entry limited reached and waiting list filling up well over a month before the event start, this year's RS200 Nationals are due to be hotly contested both on and off the water. This really highlights the 200's continued popularity and firmly placing it as the most popular UK adult dinghy!

As ever, the fleet is super competitive with many British Sailing Team members popping along for a week of intense competition with their friends, but will they be out sailed by the die-hard 200 sailors? Look out for this year's Runners and Riders released in the next few days!

We would love to have you join us on the day if you would be interested in attending. It is sure to be a great afternoon with a great turn out of sailors expected!
