First of all it was Covid, then relocating the club from Fell Foot to Lakeside, then storm Arwen blowing trees on top of the new clubhouse, then a full clubhouse refurbishment, but now SWSC are pleased to announce the iconic Windermere Waterhead race is back to full strength.
Its open to all monohull dinghies and keelboats with a PY from 900 to 1150. So everything from a 505 to a Laser Radial.
Club members have put a huge amount of effort into getting the club back up and running. There are now great changing facilities, hot showers, and a well equipped galley.
Add in great hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and a race the length of Lake Windermere and back - it should make for an epic day.
So if you are interested in racing the length of the countries longest and most iconic lake, you can get more details via www.swsailing.co.uk/page/open-events-1 or else go to the website, www.swsailing.co.uk.
