Readers of Yachts & Yachting online may have read the recent article about the sale of the YMCA North Camp on Lake Windermere, the current home of South Windermere Sailing Club. If it piqued your interest, then the Waterhead race on Sunday June 9th is an ideal opportunity to visit and try before you buy.

The Waterhead Race goes the length of England's longest lake and back (sorry Ullswater, but ours is longer than yours). It's a true test of skill, concentration and stamina. So why not come along and take in the fantastic location, check out the facilities, look around the whole of the North Camp site, sail the race, then dip in your pocket and pull out the few million needed to purchase the whole thing. You know you want to!

And there's even a social at the club the evening before the race.

Details: 9th June, start 11:00am for monohulls with a PY 900 - 1150. For more details go to www.swsailing.co.uk/article/238367
