The Club Náutico Marina Greenwich hosts this event in its second edition, with the novelty of two days of competition, between the 8th and 9th of March.
The Club Náutico Marina Greenwich is hosting its second edition of women's sailing, in a round robin format (all against all) with TOM28 monotype boats and within the framework of the Greenwich Women's Cup, on the 8th and 9th of March. The main novelty of this new edition is that there will be two days of competition, instead of one as in 2024.
The top ten crews that will take part in the Campomanes event have already been confirmed, with three international teams: Germany, Turkey and England, as well as the fleets from Calpe (2), Cartagena, Torrevieja, Vizcaya, Madrid and Punta Umbría.
The format of the competition will be defined in the sailing instructions, although it is planned to dedicate Saturday to the qualifying round, while the finals and semi-finals are expected to be held on Sunday, weather permitting.
Last year, with the first edition, the strong wind, accompanied by waves and rain, conditioned the programme and the great celebration of women's sailing. For this coming weekend, the organising committee is awaiting the weather, which is now working against them, although they hope and trust that they will be able to complete the planned programme.
The starting signal for the first race, both on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th March, has been set for 12.00 noon. The ten crews will have marked Friday as an official training day.
