A+T's wind sensors in the Vendee Globe

by A+T Instruments 28 Mar 16:21 GMT
Huge congratulations to Charlie Dalin © IMOCA MACIF

Huge congratulations to Charlie Dalin on MACIF for his flawless performance in winning the 24/25 edition of the prestigious Vendee Globe. He crossed the finish line after 64 days, 19 hours, 22 minutes and 49 seconds, smashing the previous record by more than 9 days and 8 hours.

MACIF was fitted with A+Ts 510 digital wind sensor which gave unflinching performance in often challenging conditions for the solo non-stop trip around the globe.

A+T worked closely with Pierre Dayot of MerConcept, the MACIF support team as well as several other Vendee competitors who were also relying on A+T. Were pleased to say were already hearing from other IMOCA teams who are planning to install A+T for future races.

Recruitment: tell the world about A+T

A+T Instruments is expanding and were advertising for a new Marketing Manager to tell the world about us. Its a hybrid role at our Lymington office with some travel. Were looking for a multi-tasker with excellent skills across digital and traditional marketing channels, events, SEO and website, film-making and more. Strong project management skills are a must as youll be overseeing freelance and agency input as well. Ideally wed also love someone with an understanding of the yachting industry and the technology landscape. Its a big role and an exciting time in our 10th anniversary year.

Were also looking for Technical Support, a role which offers a marvellous opportunity to go sailing, travel the world and work at the high-end of instrument technology for someone with an exceptional level of expertise. And an additional Sales Executive to work with our Head of Sales Pete Simmonds. Again another fantastic opportunity to travel and enjoy regattas, as well as the potential to continue professional sailing, for the right person with a great yachting contacts book and who speaks our customers language.

Having been a lifelong users of B&G it was a big decision to start using A+T. Having started the changeover I could not be happier. They seamlessly work with the B&G we have on board and I am happy to start the process of upgrade all over the yacht. Congratulations. A product that really works.
