Mistral World Championships Overall

by Editor 21 Feb 2000 07:19 GMT

The last day's start of 11am was delayed due to lack of wind. After a couple of hours the jury ordered the fleet back to port and continued the postponement until 4pm. At 3.45 it was obvious to the committee that there was going to be no wind and the championship was officially closed. This left Nikos Kaklamanakis from Greece as the new Men's World Mistral Champion and Alessandra Sensine as the new Women's World Mistral Champion.
