Findel & Tellen take the lead in the 505 class
On a wonderful sunny day, with a strong Ora wind blowing from the South at 5-6 m/s, the Riva Cup continued today on Lake Garda. Perfectly organized by Fraglia Vela Riva, the regatta will end tomorrow with the last two races.
The rankings are dominated by the leaders in all the categories, with the exception of the 505, where the Germans Findel & Tellen took the lead but aren't yet sure of winning overall. After winning twice on Thursday, on Friday GER 8875 was only able to collect two third and an eighth position, so their lead is still under threat from Bohm & Roos.
The International 14 class is completely dominated by GBR 1500. Pattison & Massey have proved real wizards in reading the wind and choosing the right side of the beat, and have won every race so far. The German crew of Holger & Frank are nearly doing the same in the Dyas class, nevertheless GER 1432 won only two of the three today races on Friday, beaten in the first one by GER 1459.
More uncertain is the situation in the Korsar class; Brown & Kruck are leading by only three points over Oberemm-Linnemann.
