Riva Cup at Fraglia Vela Riva, Lake Garda - Overall

by Rudy Gaddo 20 May 2007 11:39 BST 17-19 May 2007

Ora helps Bohm & Roos win in the 505 class

Strong winds on the final day

A strong Ora wind, blowing from the South at 8-9 m/s on a wonderful sunny day, helped the German team of Bohm & Roos to win overall in the 505 class at this year Riva Cup. GER8862, helped by the hard conditions found on the Lake Garda, overtook the former leaders Findel & Tellen in the final two races of the event, as usual perfectly organized by Fraglia Vela Riva.

Another big surprise in the last race took place in the Korsar class, in which the German team of Oberemm & Linnemann beat their fellow countrymen Braun & Kruck by just one point.

Nothing changed in Dyas and International 14 classes where GER 1432 (Holger & Frank) and GBR 1500 (Pattison & Massey) confirmed their first positions without needing to sail in the last race of the event.
