SailTime to exhibit at Whyte & Mackay Earls Court Boat Show

by SailTime / ADPR 23 Oct 2007 15:05 BST 1-9 December 2007

SailTime, the UK’s leader in fractional boating, is to exhibit at Stand 1C25 at the new Whyte & Mackay Earls Court Boat Show, which takes place from 1st – 9th December.

Visitors to the show will have the chance to learn more about Europe’s leading fractional boating company, and find out how to enjoy affordable power boating and sailing.

With two main consumer boating shows now taking place in London in under three months, the interest in boating as a healthy, affordable lifestyle choice is higher than ever. SailTime helps everyone, from novices to experienced sailors, to enjoy this sport and leisure hobby, by giving them the regular use of a brand new yacht or powerboat at a fraction of the cost of owning one independently.

This affordable concept has proved extremely popular in Britain, with SailTime bases spread along the South Coast from Plymouth, through the popular Hamble area, to Portsmouth, Brighton, and East Anglia. New bases are opening every month, in addition to European sites in the Netherlands and South of France.

Jonathan Duffy, managing director of SailTime Europe, explained: “It’s exciting to be part of this new show and to be able to provide people with the chance of owning a boat without all the ongoing costs.

“We think the venue is a great place to exhibit – within easy reach of central London, one of the most important centres in the world – and aimed at all ages. Our fractional concept is ideal for families who want to get out and enjoy the water on a brand new boat without having the hassle of spending time and money maintaining their boats.”

SailTime is rapidly expanding with the concept popular amongst those wanting to enjoy affordable sailing – the cost is considerably less than the price of a marina berth alone. Previously the time commitments and financial obligations associated with owning a boat could only be alleviated by belonging to a syndicate or partnership, crewing for others or chartering. SailTime’s scheme offers a more viable alternative to combine an affordable monthly Membership with unlimited sailing.

SailTime offers two practical and affordable solutions: the Member and Owner Member programmes. Members can access a Bénéteau Océanis yacht of a Sealine powerboat for an all inclusive fee, which becomes theirs to sail at least seven times per month. Alternatively, the unique sailboat ownership plan allows Owner Members to own a luxury sailboat, for which SailTime will make all the monthly payments to cover its ownership for the first five years, allowing them unlimited sailing and peace of mind.
